The Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) says that when a request for review or complaint received by the OIPC
cannot be settled by mediation, an inquiry
may be held. Following an inquiry, the Commissioner or an adjudicator issues an order deciding the outcome of the dispute.
A Sectional Index (orders organized by
FIPPA sections) is also available.
If you would like to search orders by keyword, you may do so at either of the following:
- Quicklaw (subscription service)
- CanLII – Canadian Legal Information Institute (free
service)]
