How do I develop a privacy policy?

The Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) requires that organizations develop and follow policies and practices that are necessary for it to meet its obligations under PIPA, including complaint processes. The following are some resources that may assist your organization in fulfilling that responsibility.

A Model Privacy Policy
The Corporate Policy, Privacy & Information Access Branch of the Ministry of Management Services has developed several tools, including Tool 8: A Personal Information Protection Policy, which is a model policy organizations may find useful. Click here to access these tools.
