How can I complain about how an organization collects, uses or discloses my personal information?

It is our policy to refer individuals back to the organization to try to resolve with the organization directly any disputes about how the individual’s personal information is being treated by the organization. 

Written complaint
Send a written complaint to the organization that has your personal information, to the attention of the Privacy Officer. Explain your complaint as best you can.

If you are not satisfied with how the organization responded to your complaint
You may launch a formal complaint to us. Click here for more details.  Please note, the OIPC does not accept complaints via e-mail
